The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was set up with the objective of serving educational institutions more effectively, and being responsive to the educational needs of students.
Reconstituted in the year 1962, the CBSE aims to provide holistic education through student-friendly teaching-learning methodologies. Its ideals are based on discipline, innovation, commitment to excellence and development of job-oriented skill learning. The key advantage of CBSE is the practical applicability it carries for students with regard to their future career and life itself.
In this day and age, not just success in the CBSE exams, but distinction is the focus. For the ninth standard is not only the student's stepping stone to tenth standard and higher studies, but to a flourishing career in the real world itself. The right support and a systematic approach at this stage orient students towards excellence, and provides them with the confidence to take on any challenge.
Keeping in sync with the Union HRD Minister's initiatives, LANCET CLASSES offers CBSE (XI) students a structured, result oriented programme. The content is prepared by qualified faculty, and is designed to help students equip themselves for the future. The lecturers make the effort to simplify every aspect of the portion for students' convenience which is designed to get students better grades, but while learning holistically.

Qualified Faculty:
LANCET aims to ensure that every faculty member has in-depth knowledge in his / her subject. They teach only in their discipline, and this specialisation in teaching yields results for the student. In addition there are 'resident' faculty members who focus on providing attention to resolve doubts of students in small groups, in addition to regular classroom teaching. classroom teaching is supplemented with the use of audio-visual technology, animation and graphics across various subjects. The use of such supplements induces greater retention in students.
Course Material
Questions and Answers on a relevant topic (from NCERT and other reference books) are printed and given to the students for quick and easy reference. After the completion of the chapter the students are provided with an additional worksheet which serves as a practice. These practice sheets have to be submitted before the commencement of the tests.
Emphasis on Formative and Summative Assessments
The CBSE students today have to go through a series of examinations as per Continous, Comprehensive Evaluation. There are six examinations during the course of the year:
» 4 Formative Assessments: Verbal exam conducted in the form of oral tests, debates,
quizzes, projects, etc.
» 2 Summative Assessments: In LANCET CLASSES, not only prepares students
for the Summatives (Written), but also for the Formatives as well. Students
are coached about the thought process, mannerisms, posture and how to
build up confidence while talking. A well-planned Test Series for Summative
Assessment is also conducted.
» Answer sheets are corrected by an experienced set of examiners, guided by
the respective subject teachers All these features enable the students to
gain confidence and enhance their performance at the CBSE Examinations.
Excessive examination does not enhance performance - it only causes stress.
Hence, parents are advised not to enrol their children for any additional test series.
