MHT-CET

MHT-CET (Maharashtra Technical Common Entrance Test) for Engineering is a Maharashtra State Level Entrance Exam conducted by The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). This exam is conducted for admission to various Engineering colleges in Maharashtra. JEE Main, the national level entrance exam for Engineering Colleges has been replaced by MHT-CET from 2016 onwards. The exam follows the syllabus of Maharashtra State Board colleges, with a higher level of difficulty. Students aiming for seats in leading engineering institutes of Mumbai / Maharashtra must score well at MHT-CET to get in to the best colleges



NEET - National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Under Graduates (NEET/ MEDICAL)

NEET is an All India Medical Entrance Exam for admission to medical colleges in India for Under Graduate Courses. The Medical Council of India (MCI) decided to conduct the All India Level Common Entrance Examinations for admission to Medical Under Graduate (NEET-UG), Post Graduate (NEET-PG) and Super Specialty (NEET-SP) courses from the academic year 2016-2017. MCI has already released a common core syllabus for the NEET (Medical) Entrance Test.


Number of seats:

Seats for Under Graduate (MBBS / BDS) Medical courses: 42,000 (approximately)
Seats for PG Medical (MD / MS) courses: 20,600 (approximately)


NEET (MEDICAL)Eligibility Criteria:

Passed 12th Std. examination, minimum of 50% (General category) and 40% (Reserved category) in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognised board before admission.

For NEET Examination, the following rules in order will apply:

  1. Marks in Biology section of paper (higher marks will be placed higher in the rank)
  2. Marks in Chemistry section of paper (higher marks will be placed higher in the rank)
  3. Marks in Physics section of paper (higher marks will be placed higher in the rank)
  4. Total number of negative responses (fewer negative responses will be placed higher in the rank)
  5. Date of birth (older person will be placed higher in the rank)


JEE-Main (ENGINEERING):

The Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry proposed a common entrance examination, called the Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test ( JEE-Main), to replace IIT-JEE and AIEEE from 2013 onwards. The JEE-Main examination pattern for the academic year 2013 is as follows:

Main Examination: The JEE-Main Examination will constitute an objective test that will be of 3 hours duration. The Main Examination will have a test for comprehension, critical and logical reasoning.


Advance Examination

JEE Advance Examination is a one-day evaluation programme designed to test a candidates problem-solving ability in basic Science subjects in a span of 3 hours. This test aims at indicating the candidates scholastic level and aptitude for Science and Engineering. The combined weightage for Advance and Main Exams will not be more than 60%, while weightage for performance in Std. XII Board will be minimum 40%.


Methodology of Lancet:

  • - Focused study from Day 1 for academic studies and then Entrance exam.
  • - Students will have an edge over others while appearing for the college exams in Std. XI.
  • - Portion of Std. XI and Std. XII will be taught. Then entrance exams syllabus will be started according to the choice of the students .
  • - MCQ-oriented practice in terms of assignment and exams.
  • - More writing practice as the child will appear for a higher number of exams throughout the year.
  • - Portion gets completed well in advance, so more time is given for revision and practice.
